Joey Skoch Piano Trio - December 2023, Chicago, Illinois

This wonderful piano trio session showcases the talents of a young, vibrant pianist (Joey Skoch) accompanied by two veteran stalwarts of the Chicago jazz scene (Dennis Carroll, acoustic bass, and George Fludas, drums). The piano playing is straight-ahead and lyrical (listen to the opening track, Sweet Dulcinea Blue) yet modern and original.  Micing was minimal to create a natural sound, reflecting the superb and highly listenable musicianship displayed here.
