Where technology meets art

Jack Reilly Solo Piano, April 1981 - Gainesville, Florida

This tape features Jack Reilly playing standards on a Yamaha grand piano. Although Jack is a studied and organized player, this is beautiful and heartfelt playing. You can hear influences in his playing, but never so that they dominate his original expression. A New Yorker, Jack Reilly had an extensive career, including performances at Carnegie Hall, not to mention an extensive and prestigious teaching career at some of the best music schools in the country. This tape is from IPI’s library of jazz recordings made over the years by Jonathan or those he associated with. It is for the aficionado who loves the music as a priority and enjoys hearing it on a high-quality medium, analog tape.
